Originally from Phoenix, AZ, Country singer/songwriter DC Sayner has been calling North Carolina home since 1975. Living and performing in and around the central NC area for many years, he now lives in the Archdale/Trinity area with his wife, son, and two step-children.
DC's music keeps true to his Country roots and the Country legacy: real stories, real people, real emotions. The songs come from a mix of personal experience, real life, and family.
His style has been described as "...suburban, relaxed and easy - not unlike an early Doug Stone...", and his vocals and songs tell stories of love and loss with equal passion.
Known mostly as "the keyboard player" for several area bands, DC has performed on nearly every stage in the central NC club scene in his 20-some-odd year music career. He has added his vocal, keyboard and guitar talents to all types of music from Rock to Beach/Top40 to Country - from back-street bars to outdoor festival venues.
Since going solo, DC concentrates on radio/internet airplay and performing for "family-friendly" events such as festivals, fairs and "Oprys". His live performances are a mix of his own music, current and classic Country, and light Country Gospel. He also happily donates performances and a portion of his CD sales for charity/benefit events involving children - this in honor of his daughter Alicia, lost to an accident at the age of 10.
