Jamie Knight was born, raised, and is still living in Worcester, England. Jamie discovered his love for music after listening to BB King, Robert Johnson, Freddy King and the like. Being heavily influenced by "The Blues", Jamie joined a local band and toured throughout England. He began to appreciate and be influenced by a wider range of musical styles from across the decades; The Beatles, The Who, Marvin Gaye, Peter Gabriel and Elvis, to name just a few.
He started writing songs and formed a band called "Start" (his first outing as lead song writer). After "Start"
disbanded he became influenced by Latin rhythms and big-band sounds. Jamie then put together "Rollercoasta" (an eight piece outfit with brass section) performing his own 'Latin-pop' material. "Rollercoasta" recorded the album 'By Far' before Jamie decided to go on as a solo act.
Jamie then began writing and performing acoustic country-pop love songs. He recorded 'Where The Heart Lies' and toured extensively around England with help from several well respected musicians adding a live 'depth' to the acoustic genre. Then he Recorded 'Bound' - the culmination of the last two years of his writing. Jamie then honed and polished his new love songs. Jamie Knight is currently heavily influenced by greats such as Jeff Buckley, David Bowie, Antony & The Johnsons, James Blunt, Damien Rice and David Gray.
