Based in Rio de Janeiro, Synapse is a collaboration between Rodrigo Gavião and Rodrigo Castro, two artists with more than 20 years of experience working as sidemen, composers, and audio engineers. Combining their skill sets, they produce high quality "organic" tracks that blend electronic and acoustic beats with guitars, basses, synths, and whatever else they can dream up. Rodrigo Gavião is a drummer, producer, and audio engineer who's worked as a sideman and band member in Brazil for the last two decades. He has also mixed and mastered more than 50 records for many important Brazilian artists. Some years ago, Rodrigo started to find a way to produce his own music free from any briefing or genre boundaries.
Rodrigo Castro is a guitar player and producer who has performed with many indie artists in Brazil both as a sideman and band member. Has been performing, composing, and experimenting for about twenty years now. Also a pro photographer who works in advertising, Rodrigo has been aiming to produce music that serves as a visual environment.
