I’ve seen more body bags
Here in these streets – More Than Irack
More blood from the innocent 
Are we any better than - Afghanistan

VERSE 1
Just yesterday I witnessed a shootout
I herd the bang bang bang
But I don’t know the body count
It looks like our streets are turning into a war zone
Just like our military – we have our own drone

Plenty of drive by shooting and gang fights
Is it the drugs – the alcohol – money or thug life
Marking territory like animals leaving blood stains behind
Going on instinct – not the human kind

From block to block
From hood to hood 
Everyday is a tragedy – Nothing is good
I hear the screams and the cries from a mothers’ pain 
Why did they have to die – love ones lost in vain

HOOK 
I’ve seen more body bags
Here in these streets – More Than Irack
More blood from the innocent 
Are we any better than - Afghanistan

VERSE 1I
It’s so frustrating to wake up in a hellhole
No better news than the same old story told
Like many others so tiered of living this way
Don’t wanna get stabbed shot or be laid out 
God help us find a way

I am just a soldier in this way of life
Caught up in the middle of a messed up streetlife
My life is like an automatic replay
In this chaotic state I can’t stay


Only in my bed of solitude I feel free
Don’t have to worry about the smell of death around me
I dream and envision a world of peace
But in reality this is what I see
