Easy Money

In 1913 a dollar was worth a dollar
in 2008, a cent is all it’s worth
but, we’re the richest, we’ve got everything
turns out it’s borrowed
and someone else controls the strings

It seemed like easy money
printed by the Fed
but, what seemed like easy money
was debt and servitude instead

It seems financiers stole our country
by buying Congress on a Christmas break
the inflation tax created by these vultures
has led us to this catastrophic fate

The private bank our government services
has stolen every single dream
of every single proud American
we’re bound for bankruptcy, it seems
