Backstage with the Band

I got a pass. . .and I saw Keith Richards’ dog
I got a pass, and I touched all Ron’s guitars.
Then I chatted with that cute guitarist
From that new group Sugar Ray
But when Ronnie said, “thank you dahling”
Well, you know it made my day, made my day.

I got a pass, & a private tour of the backstage scene
I got a pass, well, I sneaked a couple of jelly beans.
I saw their big  ol’ snooker table,
And a jar of body butter cream
But when Ronnie called me “dahling,”
Well, it seemed just like a dream, a really nice dream. . .

I got a pass, well, I went right into shock
I got a pass, and I heard those roadies rock!
The dinner was free, my, what a spread!
The salmon was oh-so-nice
But for Ronnie to call me “dahling,”
Well, I would ‘a paid any price. . . .

I got a pass, I kept my eye out for a pick
I got a pass, and I got the cold shoulder from Mick
He was just probably sore
About the scarf the night before
But when Ronnie said, “oh that was from you then?” 
Well, you know I went out, yes out of control
