I got my foot in the door and said:

Before long under the spell
Crawled into my cell
They treated me well
but it didn't help
'cause all those places I signed 
are bits of my mind 
on every file on every shelf
Hardcore clerical, now it's killing me
Can't stop thinking about refilling the photocopier 
So much happier 
now my monitor's clear and visible

In my job I meet loads of interesting 
people's names on a page
It's riveting
Don't go doing your own thing 
when you can home in 
on a pigeonhole where you are king.
Dreamed of flying away
Destroyed everyday
My paperwork tray can kill the pain

I can't see the view

Now it's filling my mind
