Darkness falls, I'm so alone
I feel a million miles from home
My instincts freeze the moment they are born
Storm blind eyes burn through the night
The wind it steals my second sight
I cling to weathered hopes, forget the dawn

Lightening arcs across the sky
My fear is rising, hope it dies
Heaven fades and hell is at my heels
No guardian angel by my side
No friendly moon to turn this tide
Have I sold my soul? At least that's how it feels

Will I ever see the sun?
Through this evil on the run
Hear a voice call out from far away
Through the dream to waking find
Your hand upon my troubled mind
Soft touch of pillow and another day
