Suzanne Ciani
Suzanne Ciani is an internationally-celebrated composer, five-time Grammy nominated recording artist, and pioneer in the field of electronic music and sound design. She has worked on films, commercials and video games including award-winning music for high profile Fortune 500 clients including Coca-Cola, Merrill Lynch, AT&T, General Electric, Verizon, and more. Suzanne was the first woman to score a major Hollywood feature, Lily Tomlin’s “The Incredible Shrinking Woman,” both full length documentaries of ”Mother Teresa,” and various themes for Columbia Pictures and “One Life to Live,” among others. She has also worked with Vangelis, Philip Glass, Dominic Frontiere, Leonard Rosenman and other composers.
Suzanne is best loved for her 15 albums of original music which feature her performances in a broad array of expressions: pure electronic, solo piano, piano with orchestra, and piano with jazz ensemble. Accompaniment typically includes strings, horns, woodwinds and synths. Suzanne has recorded on major labels including Private Music/BMG, but now enjoys the freedom of being on her indie label, Seventh Wave Productions. Her classically-inspired visual works are appreciated for being graceful yet precise, evoking a colorful spectrum of themes and emotions.
