Now Johnny isn’t playin’ like he used to do, Suzie took his invitation like she always knew
They’d spend their days in the green grass lovin, until they had themselves a little turkey in the oven
And one day, Suzie straightened out her blouse, and she said, Johnny, we really need a house

they got a new bedspread and a green grass bed
