Lyrics:
Patterns In The Sky
The weatherman said, “Run outside-
Look at the Milky Way”—
I rushed outside and took a look,
“Come on—what did he say?”
I looked up at the sky,
I looked so very far,
That weatherman is silly-
I don’t see a candy bar!!
The next day I was sitting,
In front of my T.V.
The weatherman said, “Check the stars,
A lion I would see!”
Again I ran out on my lawn,
And then looked way up high,
I listened for some roaring,
There’s no lion running by!!
This weatherman is teasing,
I had him figured out.
He likes to keep me running,
And looking all about!
Then my big brother,
Went running out the door,
“Come and see the “Big Dipper,”
I couldn’t take it anymore!!!
Do you think I’m crazy,
There’s no dipper in the sky!
My brother stopped and smiled,
“Come on, I’ll show you why!”
He set up his telescope,
It pointed way up high,
He showed me all the stars,
And their patterns in the sky!
Now I understand it,
The weatherman doesn’t lie,
There’s lions, dippers & candy bars,
Up in the nighttime sky!!!
