Christian WeldeHome: Norway In 1998, Norwegian composer and producer Christian Welde released Fairytales. Drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd and Vangelis, his soundtracks include dreamy New Age, Ambient, and Pop genres. This talented composer's music has been featured on Norwegian national TV channels NRK and TV2, plus airplay on BBC Radio. Several Norwegian artists, including icon Jan Toft (Vamp), have recorded his music, and corporate clients include Ekornes, FMC, and Stilasgruppen. Pink Floyd backing singer Durga McBroom was featured on two tracks of the 2015 release, Illuminate. |

One of Christian Welde's most beautiful tracks, Carpet Ride from his Skywatching album, features famous Norwegian singer Jan Toft, former singer of Vamp, one of Norway's most successful bands. In addition, Norvalt Hitsoy plays an elegant flute solo in another track from Christian's Fairytales CD. Christian resides on a lonely stretch of the coast in Norway, and in his last album Storytime, each song was composed and improvised in his studio. The soft rain that was falling during the day's recording can sometimes be heard as a touching backdrop to the music. |
