CleanCutMark (aka Mark Neil) is an innovative beat-maker, drummer, and musician involved in many UK projects commissioned by Frizz Records, an established UK independent record label. CleanCutMark also collaborated with Mr. Hudson, Natty, and Coco Sumner. He relocated to Cape Town and has worked with progressive artists such as South African Hip-Hop pioneers 5th Floor and Grenville Williams (Godessa). Over the years, CleanCutMark has created an array of loops, remixes, and original drum breaks, all available for TV, film and other commercial projects.
CleanCutMark's work can be heard on: August's "Its Not The Wand Its The Magic (2009) -Frizz Records, and on 5th Floor's "Sex and Revolution" (2009) -Sotreal Records. Mark has also played live gigs with 5th Floor, August, Art Terry, Jodie Berry, and State Of Cassava (the popular South African soul band, with the highly acclaimed South African producer and bassist, Grenville Williams). Influenced by his Jamaican / African roots and London music, his influences have finally made an appearance via his music straight from his Macbook.
