Voted one of the Top 10 Best Bands on the East Coast in a Washington Post reader's poll, they were also the winners of the 99.1 WHFS Big Break Contest that pitted LDE against hundreds of area Rock bands and led to several main stage appearances at the Washington DC HFStival. Lloyd Dobler Effect headlined international 2007, 2006, and 2004 AFE Tours of the Pacific and the Middle East and they've also performed in Kyrgzistan, Afghanistan, Qatar, Djibouti, Bahrain, UAE, Japan, Singapore, China, Hawaii, Guam, Marshall Islands (Kwajalein), and Diego Garcia. They opened for the Goo Goo Dolls at the American Music Festival and performed alongside Simple Plan and the Mighty Bosstones at the Snow Jam in Boston.
