Tony Cunha is a Singer-Songwriter from North Carolina. He was influenced by his father and brother and by icons like The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Green Day, Stone Temple Pilots, and many others throughout the years. He continued to study music and in 1979 he joined his first band in the Boston area. Tony self-released 4 CDs and 1 EP, and he has written over 200 songs and collaborated with several artists in the UK, Australia, and the U.S. Tony is currently working with the latest technology to master his unique musical sound.
Tony Cunha owes much to his brother John Cunha and his father and to writers who changed his life like Ralph Watley, Stan Jankaitas, Laura Collins Narin, Simon Read, and James Doyle. Others were DJs who were crafty with their lyrics and wanted to collaborate with a musician. It was a learning experience. Often they did very well on those songs. 'Ride My Bike' went to number 1 on mp3. com in 2003 and was written with Ralph Waltey, a DJ from Louisiana. Another time we wrote 'Come Out Of The Rain' with Simon Read from the UK, a BBC Host who had some lyrics and they collaborated and both did pretty well. He also wrote a song with a filmmaker Stan Jankaitas who was more at the end of his career as a songwriter and they wrote a few songs together 'Pillow of Tears, Mind Can Bleed. ’ He is now working with a new writer David Murray.
Music is Tony's passion, and he loves the art of creativity.
