Who’s that kid riding down our street?
That’s the kinda person people all want to meet
With a backpack on her shoulder and a glint in her eye
Everybody knew she was itchin to try
To help anyone in need
With a kind word and a hug
or just a good deed.

Doing good deeds each and every day

Helping people out is the only way

Got off her trusty bike and gave it a pat
Walked over to some kids who were having a spat
Fighting over who they were gonna leave out
Then she said, “Howdy partners!  What’s this all about?”
“Don’t just sit around and simmer.  Share in the fun and you’ll all be a winner.”

She rode off in the sunset down Neighborhood Drive
Then our hero stopped dead in her tracks
Her mom was loaded down with grocery sacks
“Beg your pardon.  Don’t do that alone.  I’ll gladly help you carry your heavy bags home.”

So she carried the groceries up the front steps
Tripped over toys that she had forgotten and left
Without being told she picked em all up
Went into the house--- to feed her new pup
Set-- the table-- to dine. --- She’d helped lots of folks today
And was feeling real fine.
