I composed this piece for the Benny Hill Show who was a world famous British Comedian and it was to be used for a circus chase. Benny was a friend I did occasional work for his Musical Director making trombone sounds. Chasing people was the fun part of his show I don't think he ever caught anybody. I will tell you a secret whilst this was happening certain people in his circle were chasing boys and indeed one of these boys was murdered and the Police never prosecuted anyone. Ironically they were so busy blaming Benny for chasing women but blind to people chasing boys. Benny was unmarried and was not any worse than any other bachelor in fact he cared more for his comedy than he cared about relationships.
Blackpool hosted 100 hour riding sessions for the park's centenary, and several successful attempts by American Richard Rodriguez to break the world coaster endurance record by riding almost 24 hours a day for weeks or even months at a time. Although these marathons are obviously publicity stunts they also demonstrate how well maintained the ride is.
