US music group Genuine Brandish is a combined eclectic voice of John Clinebell and Ariana Hall. Two gifted musicians who love to create melodies of Americana, Folk, and Bluegrass, Genuine Brandish is an energetic group. Inspired by the powerful intimacy of male/female acts like Sonny & Cher, The Swell Season, and The Paper Raincoat, these two talented artists created Genuine Brandish. They describe their honest and passionate style as "Soulful Acoustic."
Genuine Brandish formed after John Clinebell and Ariana Hall met at an L. A. showcase in early 2010 and began collaborating. After a few weeks of backing each other at gigs, audiences made it clear that their two voices sounded incredible together. Son of a regional folk troubadour in rural Illinois, John Clinebell grew up around participatory crowds and tight vocal harmonies. Since moving to L. A. in 2005, he has opened for major-label acts and worked with Platinum and Grammy Award-winning producers. Ariana Hall is an artist in local Los Angeles with increasing international acclaim. She’s collaborated with Grammy Award-winning producers, recorded vocals on countless major-label projects, and has toured around the world as a professional singer.
