Eclectic artist, producer, and music label owner Ov3rblast is on a mission to deliver Deep Soundscapes for the mind and soul. He has been inspired since childhood, absorbing his dad’s passion for Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis. His personal soundscape template offers a mesh of Ambient Cinematic, Twisted Tech, Deep Dubby, and Spacey Atmosphere. Ov3rblast continues to work toward gaining critical mass awareness with music designed to challenge the status quo. John was the winner of the worldwide competition Kia Creators Movement.
Born and raised in Greece, he developed a passion for music through the vast discography of his father, Lissandros.
He participated as an amateur DJ in numerous events from 1990 to 1996 in his hometown, Athens, leading him to his first productions - compositions in 1998 and later in 2008.
His first releases came in 2010, and from there and beyond, he has released his works into more than 70 labels worldwide, with placements for Salomon Running, BBC 4, and Vice US.
Multiple remixes for more than 100 artists, several first places in the remix competitions, spotlighted first place worldwide for the KIA Creators Movement competition.
His signature sound, a kaleidoscopic view of electronic methexis, a delirium of melodic ectatic soundscapes, emotional states.
His compositions expand into all spectrums of the electronic scene, from deep ambient to more uptempo, breathless arrangements.
He uses analogue percussion instruments in many of his works to provide a natural touch to his compositions.
