David SweetLow began his music career as a guitarist and writer in the Power Pop band “Tonight” with hits like “Drummerman" and “Money" (That’s Your Problem). For ten years he played in a group called “Yen,” which was signed to Polydor Records and later to Miles Copland’s label IRS Records. He co-wrote “Clear Blue Skies” with Cliff Richard for Cliff’s “Stronger” album, and “Adrenalin" which was featured in a Hollywood movie. David is very talented and works with legendary producers Alan Tarney, Andy Hill, and Gary Langan.
David SweetLow is a talented artist who has been signed to three major record labels, WEA Records, Polydor Records, and Miles Copeland’s IRS Records. He has co- written songs with Gary Numan, Alan Tarney, and Spanish producer/writer Jordi Cubino while contributing to several major advertising campaigns in Spain. As a music writer for clients like Voll Damme beer, David co-writes soundtracks like those for the Hollywood movie “Blood and Concrete” starring Jennifer Beals. He currently lives and works in Japan where he has won several awards for his compositions. The Zendo song contest, a Japanese national contest which he won in 2016 for his song "Hokkaido Mountain Blue" which he also performed live at the world famous Snow festival in Sapporo Japan. “2nd prize in the Sapporo Jazz festival and 3rd prize in the Nikkei Radio national contest for his song “A Hundred Years.” He is the only western song writer to ever win a prize in this contest.
