Born in Santa Barbara, Tom Lazarich is a fifth generation Californian, having grown up on the beaches of SoCal. He traveled the country as a member of an Air Force Band, then received his music degree at CalState Northridge in the heart of the LA Music Industry. He has numerous Concert Band works published, as well as songs and other works in various genres. He founded and now composes for his nine-piece group Tulgey Wood Jazz Band, composed of LA Studio Musicians.
Tom Lazarich has multiple Concert Band Compositions published by major publishing companies, and he also writes songs in multiple styles, from Bluegrass to Children’s music. He is a credentialed music teacher, a former Air Force Band member, founder/composer of his Jazz group—The Tulgey Wood Jazz Band—a nine-piece band, made up of LA Studio Musicians, including:

Afternoon of a Puppy gets the idea for it’s title from French Impressionist Claude Debussy’s Programatic tone poem Afternoon of a Faun. This piece is nothing like that piece but, like a puppy, it’s more fun. Instrumental, Animal, Dog Music
