Hyram Posey is a Tennessee-based composer, creator, and session player. With his 5-string violin, he composes distinct music that is a genre of its own. His original themes create moods that are perfect for Film and Television Westerns, Intense Drama, Cowboys, and the American Southwest. Hyram's music can be soft and subtle, yet at times lonesome and mystically haunting with Dramatic, Jazz, and Blues genres. Posey has played with top talent in the Country and Jazz music world. As a multi-instrumentalist, he has recorded five solo CDs.
Hyram Posey's performances include guest Headline-Artist spots for the Telluride Jazz Festival, San Francisco’s Great American Music Theater, National Old-Time Fiddlers Contest in Idaho, New Mexico State Fiddlers Contest, the Arizona State Fiddlers Contest, and on the Grand Ole Opry. He has made additional appearances on Midnite Jamboree, Ralph Emery's TV Show, PM Magazine TV Shows, Arizona Magazine TV Show, and the RFD-TV show, "Midwest Country." He has also been featured in Frets Magazine, Strings Magazine, and New Mexico Magazine. Posey provided special entertainment for the late Senator Barry Goldwater and performed with the Tucson Arizona Symphony Orchestra. He has been nominated for music awards in Jazz, Blues, RnB, New Age, and Country Instrumentals.
