Jim Pegg and his band Frenz were in a national commercial featuring Frank Sinatra for Las Vegas. He performed at Lincoln Jazz Center with Dizzy Gillespie's guitarist Ed Cherry. In 2014, Jim placed a song on NBC's "Trophy Wife." His percussive expertise and world rhythms led him to the semi-finals of the 2017, 2019, and 2021 International Songwriting Competition which over 16,000 musicians entered. Whether Jim uses hot Latin beats, cool Jazz, hard-hitting Rock, or other styles, his music will add a new dimension to all media projects.
Jim Pegg's unique style of writing music is credited to his percussive ability. In one song, you may hear up to eight different kinds of drums, bells, shakers, and anything you can beat with a stick. You will also hear his rhythmic talent when he plays fretless bass guitar and keyboard throughout any song. He has toured all over the world, which is why he loves to create World Beat rhythmic songs.
He has performed his music in documentaries and TV, but his library of music is vast.
Some of his influences were Santana, Peter Gabriel, Frank Zappa, Mark Anthony, and Samuel Barber's style of writing when he was growing up in the industry.
