Ben Haber, a professional bassist, composer, and producer from Seattle, enjoys performing with his hit regional band The Hasslers, and with his partner Emily as a harmony Folk duo. Ben specializes in American Roots Music including Country, Rock, Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Folk, as well as Reggae, Rock, Rock and Roll, Lo-Fi, and Hip Hop. He studied music production and audio engineering at Berklee Online. Ben is a busy composer working out of his home studio and an avid educator who teaches bass, guitar, and audio production in the Seattle area.
As a performer, Ben Haber's band The Hasslers has gained a loyal regional following in the Pacific Northwest and has performed sold-out shows at Seattle staple venues such as The Tractor Tavern. In their 8 year career, they have opened for numerous national touring acts in the Americana genre including Blitzen Trapper, Robert Earl Keen, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers, and TK and The Holy Know Nothings. Ben single-handedly produced and recorded their 2016 full-length album "State Center" and their 2014 EP "Pul"l. Although less active with live shows and touring, Ben's folk duo "Ben and Em" produces live video performances that regularly attract thousands of viewers on Facebook and YouTube.
Ben brings his years of experience as a performer in American Roots Music genres to his own compositions and recordings. His productions feature live, real instruments and an organic feel that can't be replicated by midi programming. His compositions have been licensed several times in broadcast media.
Ben studied music at Berklee Online and received certificates in General Musical Studies and Production with Ableton Live, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and high honors.
