Colorado composer, arranger, and pianist Jeff Van Devender's award-winning music radiates lush energy and elegant melodies. While showcasing solo piano, piano-based Classical instrumentals (Bach, Dvorak, Beethoven, etc.) and Folk Hymns, his Holiday and relaxing, contemporary New Age music are also musical treats. Jeff Van Devender has released six CDs of original, Holiday, and traditional Hymn/Folk music. No singing takes place in this music. The melodic line and harmonies brought out in the arrangements provide just enough to convey the intended atmosphere. Original piano music evokes melodic visions of an ethereal familiarity combined with just the right amount of originality to sound new and fresh. The Holiday standards and traditional Hymn/Folk classics are each tenderly arranged, taking beautiful melodies and wrapping them around an arrangement to evoke memories of a simpler time when hustle and bustle had a more poignant meaning.
