Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and now based in NYC, Andy Bianco graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Performance. He has performed and/or recorded with Bob Moses, Mauro Pagani, Roger Humphries, Dwayne Dolphin, Tony Grey, Stacy Dillard, Freddie Hendrix, Tatiana Owens, Elle Varner, Kandace Springs, Carolyn Leonhart, Leo Genovese, and many others. Andy has performed at such renowned venues as Smoke Jazz Club, Cafe Wha, The Bitter End, The Blue Note, SOB's, Joe's Pub, The Howard Theater, The 2013 Long Beach Jazz Festival, The 2014 Essence Festival, the 2014 BET Awards, and he's also the guitarist for the Grammy nominated RnB artist Elle Varner. He was a finalist in the 2012 USA Songwriting Competition, and his 2 official album releases as a leader have received critical acclaim from The Downtown Music Gallery Newsletter, CriticalJazz, The New York City Jazz Record, and other publications. Andy recently completed a tour of New Zealand and Japan as the guitarist with the critically acclaimed stage production entitled, "Empire." |
