Keywords: fast paced synth roars and a dance vibe to cure any sadness. The story begins and ends in Colorado. While on the road, I met two people. It was a cold night, snow flurries were blowing in the wind, and the bar was packed with ranchers, farmers, retail clerks, medical personnel and shop owners, all looking to escape a long week. In the corner, a favorite cover band was singing 80s and 90s rock songs, and drinks were flying off the table.
I watched two strangers gradually wander closer, and closer, to each other over a period of two hours until finally, after two drinks, the man asks for a Dance. The next few hours (until closing time) were filled with light conversation, a few drinks, laughs and a few more memorable dances. And even though I saw magic on that dance floor, no emails were exchanged, no phone numbers were told, just a simple goodbye at the end of the night. I guess they both knew that extending their relationship would be more than challenging since both were leaving to pursue careers. |
