California-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Mott Jordan creates vibrant and catchy soundtrack works in a wide variety of genres. With a strong ear for melody, rhythmic flow, and a talent for capturing the right mood, he works with a wide variety of instruments both exotic and familiar. As a session player and producer on numerous album projects, Mott has explored a variety of musical traditions from around the world. His soundtracks have graced several award-winning videos. Clients include Fenwick & West LLC, and JMB&M.
Mott Jordan's first band featured David Immergluck (Counting Crows, John Hiatt), Dan Eisenberg (Mother Hips touring band), Thomas Grunland (Berklee School of Music alum), and Mika Scott (drummer/percussionist/teacher). After acquiring a 1/2" eight-track deck and building a home recording studio, he composed and recorded the "Treasure Saucer" CD under the band name Mysteryboy, with guest players David Immergluck, Greg Lisher (Camper Van Beethoven, Monks of Doom), Jim Mintun (High Country), and Terry Shields. Mott was a contract designer for music tech firms through most of the 1990s and 2000s, designing synthesizer and rack-module logos for Emu Systems, and creating the packaging design for CD-ROM sample libraries. Mott later designed packaging systems for Universal Audio's UAD-1 and UAD-2 product lines. Based on a long-standing passion for many genres of music, he has amassed an impressive collection of ethnic instruments, using rare string and wind instruments in many of his productions.
A super slinky glitch-hop cue, incorporating elements of dubstep and a funky brass section. Fits a wide variety of urban scenes: gangsta, low rider, pimps, dope dealers. It would also shine in a slow-motion "struttin' down the avenue" or sexy fashion context. A great reality TV intro or bumper. Instrumental, Hip Hop, Glitch Hop
Miniskirts, martinis, white gogo boots, and clinking champagne flutes... Yeah, baby! Tune in and turn on any groovy switched-on scene with this ultra-retro swingin mambo boogaloo party music. Baritone sax, tenor sax, flute and xylophone lay down a punchy little call-and-answer melody line. Pure fun! Vocal Samples, Pop, 60's Pop
