Innovative artist Stephen McGreevy has been capturing the field-recordings of the intriguing "The Music of the Magnetosphere." With over two decades of experience, he is globally known for being the top field-recorder of electrical and radio "sounds" that the earth's magnetic-field produces. A well-rounded traveler, Stephen ventures to remote locations including Alaska and northern Canada to seize the remarkable and very striking audible natural phenomena. His musical influence is fresh and grounding.


An accomplished artist, Stephen has presentations of his field recordings currently being aired on PRX (Public Radio International) and Canada's CBC. In the past his recordings have appeared on 15 other science-oriented radio shows. Stephen believes that "Listening is Understanding," and he is always amazed at the broad-spectrum of people interested in his field-recordings -- not just "science or radio buffs!" A skilled artist, Stephen enjoys recording earth's beautiful sounds and has the background to support such expertise. He is an American recordist with an infinity for natural music.
