David Keppel is the main songwriter for the Seattle band The Delusions along with several other Indie Rock bands. A family guy with a creative vibe, he plays the Guitar, Bass, Piano, Lap Steel, Synth, Percussion, Samplers, and Loops. David likes the genres of Pop/Rock-oriented music while also being experimental on his own in Ambient, Instrumental, and Noise. He has done three US tours with Built To Spill, opened for The Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse, and was asked to be in a band with Doug Yule of The Velvet Underground.

This song is pretty much an instrumental with sparse vocals counting from 1-9. After it reaches 9 it goes from slow and dreamy to loud and rock. Quiet any pretty with lap steel and Wurlitzer. Scared is an indie rock song that I wrote the lyrics for on the way home from a funeral for a friend. It's melancholy but rock and roll at the same time.
