Hazeltop Music (aka Brian Schey from Colorado) An American bassist/composer/producer/engineer who studied bass at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and composed and arranged at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, CA. He has written and arranged big band and symphonic scores for TV, film, and stage. Schey has appeared on Star Search, toured extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe and has played with Pop and Folk icons like Joan Osborne, Ani DiFranco, Brett Dennen and Michelle Shocked.
Brian Schey has written and arranged big band and symphonic scores for TV, stage, and film, and has produced and played on over seventy records in a diversity of styles including Rock, Pop, SKA, Blues, Reggae, Hip Hop, Hawaiian Swing, and Gypsy Jazz. Currently based in Colorado, where he is the musical director for the ten-piece cabaret outfit Fraga. Schey has also composed, produced, and staged five original musicals I'm the last decade.
