Francis V (aka Francesco Vecchio) is a drummer, percussionist, composer, and music producer based in Rome, Italy. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Jazz Course in Drums & Percussion and with a Master’s Degree in Music for Video Games. As a music performer, he played in different music projects covering numerous genres. Over the years, Francis V has composed a wide variety of music from Electronic to Jazz, to Pop and Classical, which frequently has been featured in various video games and advertising promos.
In January 2017, Francis V released for his solo project, his first album/EP "Breathless" (Neele Records), combining his musical influences with Electronic Dance music. He composed the music for the game template "Horror FPS" available on the Unity Asset Store. In July 2018, he released his album "Various Music Collection Vol.1", some of these tracks have been used in various advertising for Italian TV and radio stations. Author of the drum book "Jeff Porcaro Grooves", he's the owner & founder of the remarkable "Francis' Drumming Blog" a great resource of drum transcriptions, exercises and everything related to the drums and percussion. Excellent knowledge of middleware (FMOD, Wwise), digital audio workstation (Reason, Cubase, Reaper) audio editor (WaveLab, Audacity), and music notation software as MakeMusic Finale.
