Jason Fabus (Tropical Tracks)

Jason Fabus is a talented and highly sought-after saxophonist, songwriter, educator, and producer based in Los Angeles. This Milwaukee native is the leader of several groups including his quartet The Fabus Four. He has recorded and performed with Panic! at the Disco, George Benson, Arturo Sandoval, Jane Monheit, and Wayne Bergeron. Inspired by John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, and other musical icons, Jason’s tracks are diverse, at times featuring nostalgic Swing and modern Jazz, and at times a blend of Hip Hop, Soul, RnB, and EDM vibes.

Jason Fabus earned a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from California State University Long Beach in 2014. As a Bob Cole Scholar, Jason studied with Sal Lozano and Jeff Jarvis, and performed as lead alto saxophonist in the CSULB Concert Jazz Orchestra, winner of the 2014 Downbeat Student Music Award for best collegiate graduate big band. Jason holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities, where he double-majored in saxophone performance and music education, and studied with Eugene Rousseau, Dean Sorenson, David Milne, and Phil Hey.
He has done session work for Netflix, Trolls 2, NCIS, Fortnite, and recording work (saxophones, flute, clarinet) for: Panic! At The Disco - "Pray For The Wicked" (2018); Mystery Science Theater - Netflix (2018); NCIS Season 17 (2019); Trolls 2 - Dreamworks (2020); Fortnite - Warner Brothers (2020); and songwriting and Production: Billy Davis and Marylin McCoo.
