Rene Gijzemijter is a gifted multi-award winning composer from The Netherlands. He describes himself as a hybrid composer always combining authentic orchestral sounds with synthesizers and the newest technology available. Having worked on large movie and television productions and numerous stage and web endeavors, he uses his years of experience to create the music he feels in his heart and hears in his mind. Rene produces unique sound design for diverse media projects, as well as scores for podcasts, YouTube videos, and Burlesque features.
René Gijzemijter created the music for the film 'Halloween: The Night Evil Died,' the score for the upcoming Gravitas Ventures film 'Final Stop,' and the music for the film 'Dark Figures.' Next to that René worked on the popular podcast show 'Thrillergram' for which he created the sound design and the musical score. For his music on the Star Wars fan film 'Rogue Seven' he won 3 awards.
In 2020, René worked on two Dutch productions, a feature war film called 'Vengeful 7' and a short called 'Honey.'
Next to his work in Film and Television, René does a lot of YouTube and Burlesque stage projects. Every spare moment he has, he works on creating high quality music.
