For many years, Pete Baxter was a famous Bandleader and Trombonist whose clients included The Royal Family, Houses of Parliament, BBC, Granada Television, Marks & Spencers, and Southern Comfort. Among many achievements, he held the world record for the fastest playing of the "Sailors Hornpipe" on trombone, was the inspiration for the advertisement the Lurpac Butterman, and he also worked in musical comedy with icons like Tony Hancock and Benny Hill. Today, Pete devotes his time to writing original music for Film, TV, and Commercials.
Pete Bax has had many notable failures: He was the demonstrator for Henri Selmer when they tried to replace the mark six with the mark seven. He was demonstrator for Gibson Guitars when they tried to replace the Less Paul with the RD. He was also the demonstator for Olds Brass when they tried to replace the Olds Recording with the Clerk Terry range. As the endorsee of King trombones when they tried to introduce the new light weight model, Pete learned one important lesson, "If it ain't broken don't fix it."
Today, Pete can still sing a quarter tone scale at the drop of a hat. His biggest fault is that he expects everyone one else to do that, too, especially judges on Talent Shows. He also works for charity as Santa, and can be found on YouTube spreading the Christmas message worldwide.
