California artist, singer and songwriter Michele Rene was reviewed by Jeff Weinstein (2013, 2014 Juror for the Pulitzer Prize in Criticism): "She is a sexy, waifish pop siren whose cherubic mermaid-allure is only surpassed by a rich, dulcet-toned voice whose sweet, velvety strains both attack the ear and soothe it simultaneously." Michele's voice has been described as angelic, distinct, and pure. She's fueled by natural talent, and a no-nonsense approach with an innate ability for creating trendy and beautiful melodies.
Michele Rene fronted band Marmalade Skies whose music was featured on prime time tv (Felicity, Bailey's Mistake). She also moonlighted in a band called Tinseltown with David Koval.
Since then, she's gone 'solo,' sort of. She still writes and performs with long time partner/producer Robert Bancalari and she's been in the studio with David Koval again.
David Koval has a volume of songs he has written for Michele Rene to record. Their first release is "Future Pills" - a pop-angst love song recorded at Artisans Label Studios in Fullerton, CA. 3-part harmonies, electric guitar and harpsichord. It has already gotten airplay on the famous Rodney on the Roq show (KROQ).
Funky Sexy Rock tune with young female tired of ways people try to get attention until she decides it's her turn to cash it in and turn on the world. Sassy vocals and production make this track and this little powerhouse of a woman someone to be reckoned with. Female Vocals, Pop, Alt Pop
Ultra-sweet female vocal with acoustic guitar underscore. Perfect for devoted love, commitment and expressions of true love. Dynamic, yet sweet and tender. Female Vocals, Pop, Acoustic Pop
Playful ragtime pop piano with female vocals about young adult shenanigans. Staying up late and watching the sun come up, young romance and free-spirited fun. Great for coming of age, the world opening up, and the feeling that we'll live forever. Female Vocals, Pop, Piano Pop
Henry Mancini-ish pop tune, somewhat in the vein of Audrey Hepburn, like early 70's sitcom theme with upfront and happily expressive female vocal. Light and peppy pleasant love song, bouncy and circus like rhythm showcases the vocal talents of verstaile vocalist Michele Rene. Female Vocals, Pop, Bubblegum Pop
Medium tempo Beatley tune with female vox... whether or not to break up, worrying what people think, and the vulnerability of dating someone new are pondered in this story until finally she declares it's her life to live. Female Vocals, Pop, Alt Pop
Quirky drum loops open this "I want more" demand by young female vocals. Pop with attitude. Whimsical lyrics about snails in June and frilly petticoats. Is it asking too much for the moon? Female empowerment, searching through upsetting imagery from the past and concluding that she deserves more. Female Vocals, Pop, Teen Pop
