Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he does most of his work in England, spending time in Kingston and Red Hill, St. Andrew. DJ Lantan's main influence is his interest in music, something that has always been part of his life. As a teenager, his interest was piqued when he started attending deejay competitions with friends at local dance halls. He next took up songwriting and learned that he was blessed with the immense talent to create some truly hot beats. |

Then he began producingworks and as he has done so people find his songwriting abilities expansive. He is also such a multitalented singer that he can put his vocals on any backing track. With over ten years of experience, he still has not lost his outstanding skills and continues producing youthful, fresh, modern, and unique works. Throughout his many years in the business, he has the opportunity to work with some extraordinary individuals, such as Keith Wint, from CHARTSOUNDS, Vision Productions, Maccabees, a former Dennis Brown producer, L.P.O.J, Megastar Production New York, R.S.R.S Productions, 2 Bad Production, and many others. He has made a few songs with the legendary Stevie V; he also has collaborated with established artists like John Holt, Tyrone Taylor, Wayne Marshall, Vybz Kartel, Nitty Kutchie, Bushman, T Rey, Anthony Que, Rebekka Gayle, Cherry, and others as well. He travels between Jamaica and the United States to work on his projects. He is always open-minded when it comes to collaborating on a project, because he likes the challenge of coming up with something clever and distinctive. |
