From China, instrumentalist and composer Jack Hsu blends authentic Chinese music with Rock and Jazz, making him a special talent. As founder of the group Hsu-nami, he composed the soundtracks for two short films by Bil Thompson: "Light Fixture" and "The Photographer," with Zhen Yu Lin and Debora Prado. Also, "La Jaula Del Monarca (A Monarch Cage)" which world-premiered at the Slamdance Festival 2007, by Paul Di Palma. For Doug Mikula, Jack also played the erhu and the violin (string section) on his track "Surreal," to name a few credits.
Jack Hsu, working with "Incomplete Denial," an experimental band by Daniel J McCarthy, played the erhu on his track "Soldier's Story" and recently recorded an arrangement with erhu for a conceptual art album (analog to an author film) for David Adrián, along with an exciting line-up of musicians from all over the world (Germany, Japan, Australia, Austria, England, Mexico, EUA, etc.), participating with their respective instruments. The fact that David had people from all over the world recording a small part on many of the songs added a special meaning to the story.
