Yabaso is an ethnic Hani Folk singer from China's Yunnan province, which was part of colonial French Indochina and borders on Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Tibet. He sings traditional songs in the Hani Language, which he learned from his elders, and he also composes his own contemporary music.
