His background includes working with sound manipulation, music programming technology, synths, effects, computers, tape machines, voice to synth devices, and various recording software programs. Rick's Electronic cues are very cinematic, similar to the soundtracks heard in movies like Oblivion and Gravity. He studied at Ealing Film Studios, London.
