Our Editor's Choice Award for September 2018 could go to none other than Michael Hennig's "Barlow's Observations." This magical and captivating Neo-Classical epic by Michael Hennig alternates between the most rapturous intertwining concert ensemble passages and full-blown orchestral escalations. Henning has masterfully captured a rare combination of classical Hollywood Action, Film Noir, and Disneyesque shades in one stunning masterpiece.
Michael Hennig has received numerous awards, including: "Creative Excellence Award" - OMG Contest, Bob Moog Foundation (2011), "Best Ambient Jazz Production" - Spectrasonics Omnisphere Contest (2008), and "Best Digital Rendition of A Classical Piece" - Horizon Contest, Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL, 2005).
A classical / romantic waltz for piano and violin with a touch of melancholy and remembrance. Instrumental, Dramatic, Sad Music
Starting with a single strike on a Buddhist bell, followed by the sound of other bells, partly electronically processed, as well as the chanting of monks generate an atmosphere of both meditation and mystery, reinforced by a pulsating synth pattern entering at 0:47. Enigma and devotion. Instrumental, Dramatic, Calm Hypnotic
A hybrid choral-orchestral track that starts out quietly with choir, accompanied by strings from 0:24 on, taking over the leading part at 0:55 and leading to a powerful climax at 1:25.
