Juan Maria Solare (Electronic Tracks)Home: Germany An Argentine living in Germany, Juan María Solare is a multi-award-winning pianist and composer who always takes scarcely traveled paths. The originality of his music stems from the confluence between post-Piazzollian Tango and contemporary Classical music. Juan's singular style represents a synthesis of North and South, classical and popular, wit and melancholy. Twelve CDs by different performers include at least one of his works, and he has given recitals in Buenos Aires, Berlin, Istanbul, Finland, Denmark, Amsterdam, Madrid, and London. |

Juan María Solare teaches Composition and Arrangement at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen (Germany), the University of Bremen, and Jacobs University Bremen. He is the editor of four Tango albums for the publishing house Ricordi Munich (Universal Music), and he conducts the orchestra of the Bremer Orchestergemeinschaft. Juan has composition degrees at the IUNA (Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte), Buenos Aires and at the Hochschule für Musik Köln (with Fritsch, Barlow, Humpert, Kagel). He studied in Stuttgart with Helmut Lachenmann. Regular assistant to the composition courses of Karlheinz Stockhausen in Kürten, Germany. "A full-blooded musician." (Wümme Zeitung). "Solare gives Tango a new face." (Weser Kurier). Over 150 artists and ensembles from US and Europe to Japan, from Australia to Argentina, have performed his compositions. Juan's music has been used in several movies (short film, documentary, drama, love, cartoon or even experimental film). His representative genres: piano solo, ballad, tango nuevo, electronic, experimental, ambient, soundscapes, symphonic & orchestra, chamber music, and contemporary classical. |
