Based in Virginia, Concrete Sky is an unquestionably talented group of musicians creating their own unique style of Hard Rock. The bands debut CD “Glow” is a diverse collection of various styles of Rock and Blues, and seems to be more popular with the older crowd. Their follow up CD, “Every Face I Spend,” is more focused on Hard Rock and Alternative stylings more popular with the younger Alternative music scene. Concrete Sky has incredibly strong potential for mainstream radio success.
Concrete Sky’s live band featured two talented guitarists Bob Hembree and Mike Fellers, but bassist/producer Dan Foster brought two more local hotshot studio guitar slingers for their second release. The result is a catalog of some of the best guitar work to come down the pike since Eddie Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, and “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott. Vocalist Bert Croswell is at his absolute career best with his powerful, yet melodic vocal style, most commonly compared to Scott Stapp of Creed. The live band is rounded out by drummer Chris Seranno, who holds a masters degree in percussion and teaches it full time. Bob Hembree who is heavily inspired by Jeff Beck, is the bands main songwriter.
When you couple the strong songwriting and guitar talents of Bob Hembree, with the vocal prowess of Bert Croswell, killer guitar acrobatics from four of the regions best guitar players, and the production skills of bassist/producer Dan Foster, you have some of the most exciting Rock music to be released in recent years.
This song reminds me of the acoustic side of Alice In Chains as it starts on the acoustic guitar and slowly builds into a more moving song. A song about marijuana use that would be good for any type of tv or movie soundtrack that is related to such. It a good all around rock song thats not too heavy, Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Grunge
Wow! That's one way to describe this track because its really out there! There are several different sections in this song that have totally different sound effects, unusual vocal parts, hooky verses and so on. Its a song that can't be described in words, you just have to hear it, the whole thing! Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Indie Pop
A dramatic sounding indie rock song that tells of losing a love and missing her deeply. The lyricist uses interesting plays on his grammatical choices while painting a vivid picture with his words. This song would work great for a dramatic break up scene in a movie, soap opera or other tv show. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Indie Rock
A politically incorrect song about our government and their irresponsible acts of greed and mis-information, wars, fuel, our weak borders and the economy. This song starts out slow but picks up tempo as the story builds. Great possibilities for use in political shows, tv or movie theme music, etc, Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Grunge
Up tempo, hard rockin' song that uses cross references about mother nature and women in general. This song would be great for an action or fight scene in a movie, would be perfect for a UFC women's match or any competitive female sport. Cool guitars and rock and roll groove. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Alt Rock
The title track of Concrete Sky's second cd, a hard rockin song about spending money. Sick guitar solo, powerful male vocals and a climatic ending, this song could be used as back round juke box music or the theme song for a tv show or movie. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Grunge
