Until Mars is a new and unique band concept that writes with the Intuitive Writing Method. This means that they start recording immediately after they talk about a style and decide on keywords and a key to play in. This can for instance be; britpop, uptempo, positive and in A or indie, rock, groovy in E... anything! So, the first time they jam in this style it is recorded right away into Pro Tools. They “jam” in a song style after we change the tuning of the drumkit, decide on what sound for the bass to play etc.
All the songs you hear on this page are done this way. They love this approach to composing and producing because it keeps the energy and the vibe fresh and exciting. It gives a live feel to a song, yet a studio production quality. It’s pure intuitive and that’s what they love. Real musicians playing real music! All drums, bass, and most of the guitars have only been played once! After this, a vocal line is written and the lyrics, also intuitive and fast. Then the recording of the vocals and horns take place. Then finally, the mix, and done!
