Tell the tale of tides that rise
The levee sinks before our eyes
What’s gone is gone what’s hi is dry
Sit on the street watch the children crying
Got to keep their memories
From sinking to into the passing sea

So I tell the tale, Why not tell the tale again
one thousand times 

Streets dissolving into mud
Lives that fly out the dusty skies
What has been done today is done  
Now no one ever heard your sighs
Tell the tale of children crying
Soft wind brushes a summer sigh

The government just looked away
Nothing ventured and nothing to gain
The poorest always have to pay
The highest price for their charade
The stories left untold will fade 
Into their streets like another parade
So subtle now no one dares expect 
To watch life and death blot out the effect
