This is not just another cover of Summertime but it is the inspiration of my song. It is aimed at what King Cole described as the Lazy Hazy Crazy Days or Summertime Blues by Eddie Cochran. Gershwin's highly evocative writing brilliantly mixes elements of jazz and the song styles of African-Americans in the southeast United States from the early twentieth century."
