I Drink, Therefore I Am

I used to wonder if this world was real
I thought it might be a dream
So I went to see a Tennessee wise man
By the name of Mr. Jim Beam
I said, "Mr. Beam, is this world real
Or is it just all in my head?"
He opened a bottle, poured a big shot
Knocked it right back and he said:

I drink, therefore I am
The world is as real as this glass in my hand
One good hangover and you'll understand
I drink, therefore I am

He said, "Have a drink, here have another"
And I drank until I passed out
When I came to I understood
What he was talkin' about
My head was poundin', my stomach was churnin'
It was brutal reality
And as I called Ralph over and over
Mr. Beam's words came back to me

I drink, therefore I am
The world is as real as this glass in my hand
One good hangover and you'll understand
