Martha and Abel settin’ round the table late one night
Getting’ full of bourbon, finding it disturbin’ they couldn’t get high
Martha said- “What we need babe is some good old fashioned brew.
Let’s make us some moonshine
and give it a name like a fancy wine
Call it Chateau Martha Vintage ’79.”

Abel left the table, headed for the stable to git some grain
Martha gathered berries, parts off the Chevy and plugged up the drain.
Right there in the bathtub folks what come out was no surprise
140 proof moonshine

Folks was even comin’ from out of town

Soon came the G-men, T-men and C-men into town
Investigatin’ and interrogatin’ everyone they found
