BEAUTIFUL DAY


Every morning about 8 o'clock, I take my break out on the dock
I call my sweetie up on the phone to see what's going on at home
And she says:

The baby's in the high chair chuckin' Cheerios
Junior's got the cat caught in the vacuum hose
The washer's bee boppin', flippin' on the floor
It's drivin' me crazy, I can't take anymore
But it's a beautiful day

The boss man's givin' me a dirty look, guess I better get back to work
Grab my toolbox, head on back to the line, looks like I'm workin' overtime

We got orders to fill, quotas to meet
A 30 day deadline we gotta beat
It's got me bee boppin' and flippin' on the floor
It's drivin' me crazy, I can't take anymore
But it's a beautiful day

Can't wait till the bell rings to home to my sweet thing
Wrap my arms around her tight, we'll huddle and we'll cuddle all through the night
And tomorrow, if the sun don't shine, that'll be okay
