As Green and in fear I walked on
The restless crowd bayed for their hero’s to play
But I intro’d and shared my best song

My trusty friend played, and the knowing crowd swayed
As if every chord cast a spell
I Dreamed of gracing the Opry one day
Where I’d encore, “My Last Farewell”
